The Urban Safety Intern will support the team in advancing projects that address safety challenges in urban areas. The role focuses on research, programme support, and communication activities that contribute to safer urban environments and align with UN-Habitat’s global mission.

Job Description

  • Assist in conducting research and gathering data on urban safety, crime prevention, and community resilience.
  • Support the preparation of reports, briefing notes, and background documents related to urban safety programmes.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of activities, workshops, and campaigns that promote safer cities.
  • Assist in developing communication materials such as case studies, presentations, and summaries for internal and external audiences.
  • Help track and monitor programme activities, ensuring records are accurate and updated.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, consultations, and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and best practices in the field of urban safety and crime prevention.
  • Perform other related tasks as required to support programme objectives.
