About the Kenya Young Adolescents Gender Norms Study

APHRC is currently implementing the Kenya Young Adolescents Gender Norms Study. This initiative seeks to generate robust evidence on the gender norms that influence the behavior, health, and socio-economic outcomes of young adolescents aged 10 to 14 years in Kenya. The study will document and analyze how gender expectations, roles, and cultural values shape opportunities and experiences at a formative stage in the lives of adolescents.

The evidence produced will be strategically shared with stakeholders at community, county, national, and regional levels to support programs, interventions, and policies that address gender inequalities. Ultimately, the findings will contribute to shaping interventions aimed at improving the well-being and future prospects of young people in Kenya and across sub-Saharan Africa.

To achieve this, APHRC requires skilled and dedicated individuals to serve as Quantitative Field Interviewers. The interviewers will play a key role in collecting accurate, reliable, and high-quality data that reflects the experiences and realities of young adolescents and their households.
