Introduction

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assembly Technician to join our Production team. This role is critical in ensuring that vehicles and components are assembled to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Job Purpose
The Assembly Technician will be responsible for constructing vehicle parts and components according to specifications, conducting quality checks, and making adjustments where necessary. The role requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
- Read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Assemble components and sub-systems using hand and power tools, up to full vehicle builds.
- Inspect auto parts and fully assembled vehicles for defects and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure on-time delivery of products.
- Conduct quality inspections and complete required documentation, including progress reports.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and equipment condition to support lean manufacturing.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve processes and document activities.
- Apply problem-solving skills to achieve high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Diploma/Certificate in Automotive or a related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in an automotive industry environment.
- Knowledge of welding best practices and safety procedures.
- Strong technical knowledge in automotive assembly, ability to read technical drawings, and proficiency in body assembly/disassembly/adjustment.
- Good communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
- High integrity, energy, and drive, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
