KPMG International Development Advisory Services (IDAS) is inviting applications for the role of Graphic Designer – Associate. Job Description

The Graphic Designer – Associate will be responsible for supporting the creation and execution of visual communication projects across a wide range of internal and external channels. The duties will encompass design, adaptation, coordination, and administration of tasks aimed at maintaining high standards of visual output and brand consistency.

Key roles and responsibilities include the following:

  1. Design and Development of Materials
    • Assist in creating digital and print content such as reports, presentations, social media graphics, infographics, and internal communication materials.
    • Support layout design and formatting of documents, including PowerPoint decks, Word reports, and Adobe InDesign files, ensuring they adhere to established brand guidelines.
  2. Video and Animation Support
    • Apply knowledge of video editing and animation tools, including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects, to support visual communication outputs.
    • Adapt creative assets into animated or video formats where needed for digital platforms.
  3. Adaptation and Resizing of Creative Assets
    • Repurpose and resize existing design assets to suit various digital and print platforms, maintaining brand coherence across formats.
    • Ensure visuals are optimized for different platforms and usage contexts.
  4. Visual Assets Sourcing and Editing
    • Source, edit, and curate imagery, icons, and design elements through Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
    • Enhance images and visual assets to meet professional standards and project-specific requirements.
  5. Creative Collaboration
    • Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions, providing creative input to shape visual concepts and communication strategies.
    • Support the design team in refining and innovating visual outputs for improved impact.
  6. Brand Consistency
    • Ensure that all design work complies with the firm’s established brand guidelines.
    • Maintain alignment between visual storytelling, typography, color schemes, and overall corporate identity.
  7. Administrative and Coordination Support
    • Take responsibility for design-related coordination tasks such as updating status trackers, recording feedback, and monitoring workflow progress.
    • Support the smooth operation of the design pipeline by assisting in planning and follow-ups.
  8. Other Assigned Tasks
    • Undertake additional duties as may be assigned by the design and communications team. These tasks will further contribute to the department’s objectives while providing learning opportunities for the associate.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline.
  • Between 1 to 2 years of practical experience in graphics design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); familiarity with After Effects, Premiere Pro, and PowerPoint is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail in areas such as typography, layout, and brand aesthetics.
  • Knowledge of design applications for both digital and print environments.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
  • A portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity. Both academic and freelance work are acceptable.

  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt to a corporate work setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills suitable for teamwork.
  • Organized and dependable, with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Interest in storytelling, data visualization, or user interface/user experience (UI/UX) design will be considered an advantage.
