ICT Assistant

Mabati Rolling Mills Limited (MRM) is seeking to recruit an ICT Assistant who will provide essential desktop maintenance and ICT support to all end users. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and reliability of the company’s computing and communication systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level support to users on ICT-related issues including hardware, software, network, and communication systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other ICT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage user accounts, email systems, and access rights in line with ICT security policies.
- Monitor ICT systems and proactively identify potential issues to prevent downtime and disruptions.
- Conduct regular system updates, backups, and security checks to safeguard company data.
- Support the implementation of ICT projects and provide technical input when required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ICT incidents promptly, escalating complex cases to higher-level support as necessary.
- Document ICT processes, incidents, and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on ICT best practices and system usage.
