Procurement Officer

Mabati Rolling Mills Limited (MRM) is seeking to recruit a Procurement Officer to manage both CAPEX and OPEX procurement. The successful candidate will ensure customer requirements are met on time, in full, and at the most competitive rates. The role is central to streamlining procurement processes and achieving maximum value by balancing cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes for goods and services required by the company.
- Manage CAPEX and OPEX procurement, ensuring alignment with organizational budgets and objectives.
- Identify and engage reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term supplier relationships.
- Ensure procurement of goods and services is completed on time, meeting cost, quality, and compliance standards.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve efficiency and cost savings.
- Monitor market trends to ensure competitive sourcing and explore opportunities for alternative suppliers.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and reports for auditing and decision-making purposes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to anticipate needs and ensure smooth execution of procurement requirements.
- Resolve procurement-related issues promptly to avoid delays in operations.
