Job Purpose
The Training Kitchen Chef/Cook will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of meals within the university’s training kitchen facility. This individual will work closely with hospitality students, providing mentorship and guidance in culinary practices. The position requires a passion for food, instructional capability, and adherence to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of dishes in accordance with the kitchen’s established menus and recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Accurately portion and plate dishes while maintaining an aesthetic and professional food appearance.
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene at the workstation and across the training kitchen area, fully compliant with established food safety standards.
