LECTURER, PARALEGAL TRAINING PROGRAMME

Overall Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Director/Chief Executive Officer, the Lecturer will support the design, delivery, and coordination of training programmes in paralegal studies. This position combines teaching, mentorship, and research, while contributing to the enhancement of the School’s paralegal education programmes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Lecturer will:
- Conduct teaching and training in paralegal studies.
- Assist in planning and coordinating departmental programmes.
- Undertake research and contribute to academic publications.
- Supervise students during internships and attachments.
- Verify student admission documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare teaching manuals and learning materials.
- Set, moderate, and mark examinations to ensure academic integrity.
Job Requirements
Applicants must have:
- At least four (4) years of post-admission experience in the public or private sector.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized university.
- Post-graduate Diploma in Law.
- Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate.
- Active membership in the Law Society of Kenya, in good standing.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Remuneration
Gross salary: Kshs. 139,589 – 183,744 per month.
