About the Role: Business Development Officer (2 Positions)

The Business Development Officer – Retail Business position is designed for individuals who are passionate about client acquisition, sales growth, and financial advisory within the retail sector. Reporting directly to the Assistant Business Development Manager, the officers will take charge of driving sales of the company’s Unit Trust Funds and Wealth Management products targeted at retail clients.

The role is both challenging and rewarding, offering opportunities to build strong client relationships, expand market reach, and contribute meaningfully to the company’s mission of delivering trusted investment solutions.


Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Business Development Officer are centered on business growth, relationship management, and strategic market expansion. Specifically, the role will include:

  1. Driving Sales Growth
    • Actively promoting and selling Madison’s Unit Trust Funds and Wealth Management products.
    • Designing and implementing strategies to expand product uptake within the retail sector.
    • Ensuring consistent sales growth in line with company targets.
  2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
    • Identifying and onboarding new retail clients across diverse markets.
    • Maintaining close working relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
    • Providing regular updates, support, and investment advisory services to clients.
  3. Recruitment and Management of Agents
    • Recruiting, training, and supervising both branch and independent financial agents.
    • Supporting agents in achieving their business targets.
    • Building a motivated and high-performing sales force that aligns with company goals.
  4. Marketing and Collaboration
    • Partnering with the internal marketing team to coordinate sales campaigns and initiatives.
    • Developing marketing activities that enhance brand visibility and product awareness.
    • Leveraging campaigns to generate qualified leads and boost sales conversion.
  5. Reporting and Performance Monitoring
    • Preparing regular reports on sales performance and client acquisition.
    • Tracking business development activities against set targets.
    • Providing feedback to management for continuous product and service improvement.
