The Portfolio Officer – Payments is responsible for managing tills portfolios to ensure they perform optimally and deliver value. This role emphasizes careful monitoring, analysis, and proactive management to reduce dormancy and improve transactional performance. By driving activity within the tills portfolio, the officer contributes directly to customer engagement and long-term retention, while preparing clients for progression to the SME segment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor tills portfolios to track transaction volumes, ensuring activity levels remain consistent and aligned with expectations.
- Manage tills dormancy by identifying inactive accounts and implementing strategies to reactivate them.
- Generate and analyze dashboards and reports that provide insight into tills dormancy trends, performance, and customer behavior.
- Drive transactional value on tills with a vintage of over 12 months, ensuring continued relevance and activity.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on portfolio performance data, supporting management in decision-making.
- Engage with clients to address challenges and support them in maximizing the benefits of their tills accounts.
- Collaborate with other retail teams to streamline processes and improve portfolio performance.
- Support clients’ transition from tills portfolios to the SME segment when criteria are met, ensuring a smooth and seamless graduation process.
- Conduct regular reviews of portfolio performance and propose initiatives to strengthen usage and loyalty.
- Stay updated on industry trends, customer behaviors, and emerging technologies in payments to inform strategies.
