As part of its ongoing mission to promote wellness and enhance client satisfaction, Jubilee Health Insurance Limited is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Senior Wellness Coordinator, Wellness Programs. The position is based at the company’s Head Office in Nairobi and reports directly to the Assistant Manager – Wellness.


Role Purpose

The Senior Wellness Coordinator will play a key role in developing and executing comprehensive wellness initiatives that aim to improve the overall health and well-being of clients. The position requires a proactive individual who can conceptualize, implement, and monitor wellness programs that promote healthy lifestyles, reduce healthcare costs, and enhance client engagement and satisfaction.

This role involves a balanced combination of strategic planning, operational management, leadership, and adherence to corporate governance principles. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of wellness promotion, preventive healthcare, and client-centered program management.


Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  1. Manage the budget for wellness programs, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of resources to achieve the best outcomes.
  2. Monitor and analyze emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the wellness industry to keep the company’s programs innovative and competitive.
  3. Identify opportunities for new initiatives and develop proposals for wellness innovations that align with client needs and organizational goals.
  4. Collaborate closely with senior management to design a comprehensive wellness strategy that reflects the company’s mission, vision, and long-term objectives.
  5. Prioritize key wellness initiatives such as preventive healthcare, stress management, nutrition awareness, and mental well-being, and create structured programs that address these areas effectively.

Operational

  1. Plan, coordinate, and execute wellness events, workshops, and campaigns that can be conducted both in person and remotely.
  2. Oversee the smooth implementation of wellness programs by leveraging communication tools, technology platforms, and effective delivery models.
  3. Develop and manage communication strategies aimed at educating clients on wellness and preventive health practices.
  4. Create informative materials, newsletters, and digital content to promote wellness initiatives and enhance participation.
  5. Collect and analyze data related to program participation rates, client feedback, and health outcomes to evaluate effectiveness.
  6. Use data-driven insights to refine, improve, and adapt existing wellness programs for greater impact.
  7. Prepare detailed reports and presentations that communicate progress, challenges, and results to senior leadership.
  8. Collaborate with external stakeholders, including wellness vendors, healthcare professionals, and industry experts, to enhance program quality and delivery.
  9. Build and nurture strong relationships with internal teams and departments to ensure the alignment and support of wellness objectives across the organization.

  1. Foster a culture rooted in empathy, ethical conduct, and excellence within the care navigation section and the wider wellness department.
  2. Lead initiatives that encourage employees and clients to adopt and sustain healthy behaviors through participatory wellness activities.
  3. Promote continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of wellness programs.
  4. Provide guidance, mentorship, and motivation to colleagues and teams working within the wellness function to maintain high performance standards.

Corporate Governance

  1. Adhere strictly to ethical standards in all professional interactions with clients, colleagues, and healthcare providers.
  2. Keep abreast of relevant healthcare laws, insurance regulations, and privacy requirements to ensure compliance.
  3. Ensure that all wellness activities meet established legal, ethical, and corporate governance standards.
  4. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of client interactions, wellness events, and program performance.
  5. Uphold transparency in all communications with clients, including the scope of services, potential limitations, and any applicable fees or charges.
  6. Safeguard the confidentiality of client data, adhering strictly to the organization’s privacy policies.
  7. Seek authorization before disclosing any client-related information to third parties or partners.
  8. Identify potential operational or compliance risks within the wellness function and collaborate with relevant departments to mitigate them.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and related productivity software.
