NYOTA PROJECT
Are you a Kenyan youth aged 18-29 years OR a youth with disability aged 18-35 years?
Do you aspire to start or expand your business in Kenya? This is your chance!
The National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project is a government initiative aimed at increasing employment as well as income through skilling, business support, and inculcating a savings culture among the beneficiaries.
In a partnership between the Kenya Government and the World Bank, the initiative will provide KSh50,000 grants to each of the 70 young people selected from each of the 1,450 wards nationally, enabling them to launch business ventures, drive enterprise, and unlock opportunities countrywide.
The program has 4 components:
- Improving youth employability
- Business support in terms of skill development, mentorship, and startup capital
- Inculcating a savings culture
- Digital training on the AGPO and E-Procurement system to enhance market access.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, the NYOTA Program reopening of applications will kick off in all 47 counties and close on October 12, 2025, at noon.
