ICT & Communications Officer

The ICT & Communications Officer will provide technical leadership in managing and securing ADRA Kenya’s ICT systems while spearheading strategic communications to enhance the organization’s visibility and credibility. This position combines a dual focus on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and organizational communication, requiring a professional capable of integrating technology with storytelling to strengthen institutional impact.

Job Description
The ICT & Communications Officer will be responsible for maintaining and securing the organization’s IT infrastructure while supporting internal and external communication processes. The officer will ensure the smooth functioning of all digital systems and networks, implement cybersecurity protocols, and lead initiatives to promote the organization’s programs through strategic communication and media engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all ICT systems, including networks, servers, databases, and hardware across all ADRA Kenya offices.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee ICT policies and security protocols to safeguard the organization’s digital assets.
  • Provide technical support to staff in troubleshooting IT-related issues and maintaining connectivity for field offices.
  • Oversee the management of data storage, backup systems, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Support project teams with ICT-related tools for data collection, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Lead the design, management, and maintenance of ADRA Kenya’s website and digital platforms.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies that align with ADRA Kenya’s mission, values, and projects.
  • Create high-quality communication materials, including newsletters, press releases, project reports, and success stories.
  • Manage the organization’s social media presence, ensuring timely and consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Build relationships with media houses and partners to enhance ADRA Kenya’s visibility and credibility.
  • Document project outcomes and impact stories to showcase results to donors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Support staff in communication capacity building, ensuring consistent branding and messaging in all organizational outputs.

The ICT & Communications Officer will report to the Country Director and will collaborate closely with program managers, administrative staff, and external stakeholders. The position requires a balance of technical expertise, creativity, and organizational understanding to manage both IT systems and communication strategies effectively.
