MEAL Assistant – Nandi, Kenya

Project Context:
The Building Climate Resilience and Adaptive Capacities of Tea Producing Communities in Nandi Project seeks to enhance the livelihoods of smallholder tea farmers, especially women and children, through climate-smart agriculture, sustainable land management, agroforestry, reforestation, and improved market access. The project also integrates nutrition awareness initiatives to enhance the overall well-being and resilience of target communities in the face of climate change.

Role Purpose:
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Assistant will support the effective implementation of the project’s monitoring and evaluation framework under the guidance of the MEAL Coordinator and Programme Manager. The role involves ensuring accurate data collection, quality assurance, analysis, and timely reporting to strengthen accountability, learning, and adaptive management within the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and maintenance of the project’s M&E system in alignment with organizational standards and donor requirements.
  • Collect, compile, and verify project data from the field, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct routine monitoring visits to project sites to assess implementation progress and gather feedback from beneficiaries.
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic performance reports and contribute to data visualization and presentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in baseline, midline, and endline surveys, including data entry, cleaning, and analysis support.
  • Facilitate learning sessions and reflection meetings with field teams to review progress, identify challenges, and recommend corrective actions.

Community Liaison Officer – Nandi, Kenya

Role Purpose:
The Community Liaison Officer will play a central role in implementing a four-year program designed to strengthen agro-economies, enhance climate resilience, and improve the well-being of smallholder tea farmers, particularly women and children, in Nandi County. The project aims to integrate climate-sensitive land management practices, promote access to carbon market finance, and enhance sustainable livelihoods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the project and community stakeholders, ensuring smooth coordination and communication.
  • Support mobilization and engagement of smallholder farmers, farmer groups, and community-based organizations in project activities.
  • Facilitate training sessions and community outreach programs focused on climate-smart agriculture, agroforestry, and reforestation.
  • Promote inclusive participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups in project implementation and decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate with local leaders, government agencies, and private sector actors to foster partnerships that strengthen community resilience.
  • Support documentation and dissemination of community feedback to enhance project responsiveness.

Driver – Kenya

Role Purpose:
The Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of staff, visitors, and goods within Save the Children’s Kenya program. The role ensures proper maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of assigned vehicles, adhering to all organizational and safety protocols. The position requires high standards of discipline, professionalism, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive authorized personnel and goods to designated destinations in a safe and timely manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records including mileage, fuel consumption, and service logs.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean, well-maintained, and appropriately fueled at all times.

The position focuses on partner capacity strengthening, coordination, and alignment with Save the Children’s localization strategy. The role reports to the Head of Awards, Localization, and Partnerships, with a dotted line to the Country Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the localization strategy, ensuring that local partners are effectively engaged in program delivery.
  • Support identification, assessment, and onboarding of local implementing partners.
  • Facilitate capacity strengthening initiatives, including training, mentoring, and technical assistance for partner organizations.
  • Coordinate regular partner review meetings to monitor performance, discuss challenges, and share learning.

  • Foster collaboration between Save the Children and local partners to promote sustainability and local ownership.

Risk, Governance and Compliance Manager – Kenya

The Risk, Governance, and Compliance Manager (RGCM) is a key leadership role that provides strategic oversight of risk management, governance frameworks, and compliance systems across the Kenya and Madagascar Country Office. Reporting directly to the Country Director, the RGCM ensures that Save the Children International operates in full compliance with organizational policies, donor regulations, and national laws. The position also promotes a culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability across all levels of operation.
