Job Purpose
The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for delivering high-quality welding, panel beating, bodywork, and fabrication services. This position requires a professional with a hands-on approach to technical work, ensuring that all welding and fabrication tasks meet company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out welding and fabrication tasks as assigned, ensuring precision and adherence to technical specifications.
- Perform panel beating and body repair works to restore damaged vehicle components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to guide fabrication and repair processes.
- Select appropriate welding materials, techniques, and tools for each job.
- Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain all tools and equipment in proper working condition and report any faults promptly.
- Collaborate with other technicians, supervisors, and service advisors to ensure timely delivery of work.
- Ensure that all fabrication and welding work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and internal quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work done, materials used, and time spent on each task.
- Support workshop operations by providing assistance in related mechanical or structural repair work when necessary.
