Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain designated plant equipment, machinery and vehicles.

  • Support in organizing training and sensitisation for co-operative members.

4. Agricultural Trainer – Agriculture Training Centre J/G ‘H’ (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan and deliver training programmes at the Agriculture Training Centre.
  • Prepare training materials, facilitate sessions and evaluate trainees’ performance.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to integrate practical demonstrations and field visits.

5. Assistant Agricultural Surveyor J/G ‘H’ (3 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct agricultural surveys and data collection within the county.
  • Assist in mapping of agricultural land use, cropping patterns and livestock populations.
  • Analyse survey data, prepare summary reports and present findings to the agricultural department.

6. Agricultural Engineering Technologist III J/G ‘H’ (4 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in agricultural mechanisation and irrigation projects.
  • Design, supervise installation and maintenance of farm mechanisation equipment.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments, monitor performance and report on engineering aspects of agricultural systems.
  • Provide technical training to field staff and farmers on equipment operation.

7. Assistant Agricultural Officer III J/G ‘H’ (10 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals for the designated facility according to nutrition and hygiene standards.

  • Monitor kitchen supplies, maintain cleanliness, and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist in menu planning and special meal preparations when required.

9. Chef / Senior Cook J/G ‘H’ (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the kitchen operations, supervise cooking staff and ensure high standards of food preparation.
  • Plan menus, oversee procurement of ingredients and manage kitchen stock.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and nutritional standards.

10. Cooperative Auditor II J/G ‘J’ (3 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits of co-operative societies within the county to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Review financial records, systems and controls of co-operatives and prepare audit reports.
  • Offer recommendations for improvement of governance and financial management in co-operatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the registration, regulation and supervision of co-operative societies under department oversight.
  • Facilitate capacity-building programmes for co-operative members and societies.
  • Monitor performance and compliance of co-operative societies and liaise with relevant authorities.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the co-operative sector for the county.

12. Agricultural Officer – Agribusiness Officer J/G ‘K’ (3 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive agribusiness initiatives to enhance value-addition, market access and linkages for farmers.
  • Conduct market research, identify business opportunities and support establishment of agribusiness enterprises.
  • Facilitate training and mentorship of agribusiness entrepreneurs in the county.
  • Monitor progress, prepare reports and recommend strategies for agribusiness development.

46. Director Roads and Public Works J/G ‘R’ (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Head the roads and public works department of the county.
  • Provide leadership in planning, design, procurement, construction, maintenance and management of road networks and public works infrastructure.
  • Coordinate projects, ensure quality, cost control and timely delivery of infrastructure.
  • Oversee preparation of reports, budgets and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.
