CFAO Mobility Kenya, a leading player in the automotive industry, is seeking to recruit a competent and driven Sales Executive for its Sinotruk Division, based in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be based at Popo Road, Nairobi, reporting to the Brand Manager within the Equipment Division. Job Purpose

The Sales Executive – Sinotruk will be responsible for achieving the set sales targets and ensuring the profitability of the brand. The position calls for proactive engagement with potential clients, effective relationship management, and strategic promotion of the Sinotruk brand to sustain market growth and enhance the company’s presence in Kenya’s commercial vehicle sector.

This position has no direct or indirect supervisory responsibilities.


Operational Responsibilities

The Sales Executive will perform the following duties and responsibilities:

1. Client Prospecting and Market Research

  • Conduct regular field visits to identify and engage prospective clients to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence to inform sales planning, decision-making, and strategy formulation.
  • Actively pursue new leads and referrals resulting from field activities, showrooms, and promotional events to expand the customer base.

2. Sales Process and Order Management

  • Prepare quotations in accordance with CFAO Mobility Kenya’s pricing and policy guidelines to facilitate timely sales closure.
  • Generate and process sales orders in the system to ensure accurate and prompt invoicing.
  • Prepare and manage appointment schedules and sales call programs to optimize client engagement and improve conversion rates.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to promote customer loyalty, retention, and referral opportunities.
  • Provide timely updates on the progress of sales orders, ensuring all client inquiries are addressed efficiently.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth vehicle delivery, documentation, and registration processes to enhance customer satisfaction.

4. Financial Facilitation and Documentation

  • Advise clients on available financing options through partner institutions such as Loxea and other banks, and assist them with the necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure that payment terms are clearly defined, agreed upon, and communicated to customers to minimize disputes.
  • Support clients in completing all required financial and contractual documentation to expedite deal closure.

5. After-Sales Support and Documentation Follow-up

  • Follow up with relevant internal departments to ensure timely provision of registration documents, including logbooks, to customers.
  • Address and resolve any post-sale queries efficiently to maintain customer confidence and long-term relationships.

6. Marketing and Brand Promotion

  • Participate in marketing and promotional campaigns to enhance the visibility and market awareness of Sinotruk vehicles.
  • Support in the coordination of customer engagement events, demonstrations, and training sessions designed to highlight product features and advantages.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to share insights from the field and assist in developing tailored promotional strategies.

7. Reporting and Data Management

  • Submit accurate weekly and monthly sales reports to the Brand Manager to track performance against set targets.
  • Provide up-to-date order intake and delivery data to facilitate proper planning and inventory management.
  • Contribute to the unit ordering process to maintain optimal stock levels in line with market demand and sales forecasts.

8. Market Intelligence and Strategic Support

  • Continuously gather information on competitors’ activities, customer preferences, and emerging industry trends.
  • Present actionable insights to management and the marketing department to assist in developing informed strategies for the Sinotruk brand.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Academic and Professional Qualification

  • A degree in Sales and Marketing or another relevant field.

Experience Required

  • At least three years of experience in sales within the automotive industry.
