SOURCING CATEGORY MANAGER
The Sourcing Category Manager will be responsible for sourcing suppliers of goods and services within a specific category or portfolio. This role involves strategic procurement, supplier management, market analysis, and contract negotiation to ensure that the organization obtains high-quality products and services at optimal costs. The manager will be expected to balance commercial acumen with adherence to procurement governance and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate market trends.
- Develop and manage sourcing strategies that align with the organization’s goals and procurement policies.
- Prepare tender documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procurement regulations.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service-level agreements with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and quality assurance.
- Manage supplier performance through regular evaluations, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance metrics.
- Prepare and review contract terms and conditions, ensuring that all agreements are in the best interest of the organization.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide timely sourcing solutions.
- Develop and maintain supplier databases to support procurement decision-making and reporting.
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to supplier performance, delivery, or compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and value creation.
