The Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA) is a State Corporation established under the Science, Technology and Innovation Act, No. 28 of 2013, with the mandate to develop and manage the National Innovation System. The Agency plays a central role in promoting, coordinating, and strengthening innovation development, collaboration, and commercialization in Kenya.
To effectively deliver on its mandate, the Agency invites qualified, competent, and motivated individuals to apply for various positions as detailed below. PRINCIPAL INNOVATION OFFICER – KENIA GRADE 5 (Post 6)

The Principal Innovation Officer will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives that promote innovation development, coordination, and scaling across multiple sectors. The officer will guide programs that enhance the innovation ecosystem and support commercialization of research outputs and technological solutions.
Job Description
- Lead the design and implementation of innovation development frameworks and strategies to strengthen the national innovation ecosystem.
- Coordinate and oversee innovation projects and programs, ensuring alignment with national innovation policies and strategic goals.
- Facilitate linkages among innovators, academia, industry, and government institutions to promote knowledge exchange and resource sharing.
