Position Title: Tutorial Fellow – Scale 11 (XI)

Job Description:
The Tutorial Fellow in the Department of Human Anatomy will be responsible for supporting the academic, research, and administrative functions of the department. The successful candidate will assist in the teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate students and contribute to ongoing departmental research and community engagement activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist senior lecturers and professors in the preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in human anatomy and related subjects.
- Support in the supervision of laboratory sessions, ensuring that students adhere to proper laboratory safety protocols and academic integrity during dissections and other anatomical studies.
- Prepare and organize teaching materials, demonstrations, and laboratory specimens required for anatomy classes and research activities.
- Participate in the assessment of students through setting, marking, and moderation of examinations, assignments, and laboratory reports.
- Contribute to the department’s curriculum review process and ensure the teaching content aligns with current developments in medical education and anatomical sciences.
- Engage in research activities within the department and participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences to enhance scholarly development.
- Provide mentorship and academic guidance to undergraduate students, promoting effective learning and personal development.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and other administrative responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned by the University in line with its academic objectives.

SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
Department of Mechanical, Production & Energy Engineering
Position Title: Tutorial Fellow – Scale 11 (XI)

Job Description:
The Tutorial Fellow in the Department of Mechanical, Production & Energy Engineering will play a key role in supporting the delivery of quality engineering education. The position entails assisting in teaching, research, and practical training in the areas of mechanical design, thermodynamics, production systems, and energy technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in teaching undergraduate courses in mechanical, production, and energy engineering, including conducting tutorials, laboratory demonstrations, and workshops.
- Support in the preparation of teaching materials such as lecture notes, laboratory manuals, and engineering design resources.
- Conduct practical sessions in areas such as mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics, ensuring all experiments meet academic and safety standards.
- Participate in the setting, moderation, and grading of examinations, projects, and coursework assessments.
- Support students in engineering design projects and industrial attachments, ensuring academic supervision and adherence to professional standards.
- Collaborate with senior academic staff on research projects, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of research reports or publications.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department’s academic programmes, ensuring alignment with technological advances and industry needs.
- Participate in departmental and school-level meetings, workshops, and academic seminars.
- Provide mentorship to students, guiding them in academic, professional, and ethical development.
- Undertake any other academic or administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Dean of School.

Department of Chemical & Process Engineering
Position Title: Tutorial Fellow – Scale 11 (XI)

Job Description:
The Tutorial Fellow in the Department of Chemical & Process Engineering will assist in the teaching, research, and academic administration within the department. The successful candidate will work closely with senior academic staff to deliver courses and support student learning in chemical and process engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in teaching undergraduate students in courses related to chemical and process engineering, including tutorials, practical sessions, and problem-based learning.
- Support laboratory sessions and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during experiments involving chemical processes.
- Participate in the development and review of teaching and learning materials, including course notes, manuals, and laboratory guides.
- Support the assessment of students by preparing, administering, and marking examinations, assignments, and laboratory reports.
- Participate in departmental research activities, contributing to ongoing projects and scholarly publications in chemical engineering.
- Assist in organizing departmental seminars, workshops, and industrial visits for students to enhance experiential learning.
- Contribute to the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment used in teaching and research.
- Participate in curriculum development and review to ensure that academic programmes meet current industry and technological standards.

- Undertake other responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department in line with the academic and research objectives of the department.
