Job Overview

The Operations Intern position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or students to gain valuable hands-on experience in financial operations. The role is designed to provide exposure to various operational functions within the institution, including customer service support, transaction processing, documentation, and data management. The successful candidate will work under close supervision, learning essential skills while contributing to the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

  • Assist in the daily processing of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
  • Support the verification and reconciliation of financial documents and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
  • Help maintain organized and up-to-date operational files and databases.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Operations team, including filing, data entry, and document retrieval.

Customer Service Assistance

  • Support front-office operations by assisting with customer inquiries and guiding clients through basic processes.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service by handling requests promptly and professionally.
  • Record and escalate customer feedback or complaints for resolution by the relevant departments.

Process Improvement and Documentation

  • Observe and document operational workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.
  • Assist in preparing operational reports and summaries as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Participate in reviewing and updating standard operating procedures where applicable.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with other departments, including Finance and Credit, to ensure seamless coordination of operational activities.
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to discussions aimed at improving operational performance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and institutional information at all times.
