Director, Clinical Services

Job Purpose
The Director, Clinical Services will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, coordination, and oversight of all clinical departments and services within the hospital. The position aims to ensure high standards of patient care, clinical governance, professional development, and compliance with healthcare policies, protocols, and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical service delivery across all departments.
- Oversee clinical operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and patient-centered care that meets national and international healthcare standards.
- Formulate and implement clinical policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines in alignment with hospital objectives and regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to promote evidence-based clinical practices, continuous improvement, and innovation in patient care.
- Supervise heads of clinical departments, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and accountability for performance outcomes.
- Spearhead the hospital’s quality assurance and clinical audit programs to identify and mitigate risks in patient care delivery.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the hospital’s medical education, research collaborations, and professional development programs for clinical staff.
- Ensure efficient management of medical resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities, to maximize operational effectiveness.
- Foster collaborations with national and international healthcare partners to enhance capacity building, research, and knowledge exchange.
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to institutional decision-making as a member of the senior management team.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements governing healthcare delivery.
Terms of Service
All the positions are offered on a five (5) year renewable contract, subject to satisfactory performance and institutional requirements.
