Job Description
The Drug Control and Crime Prevention Intern will support UNODC teams in implementing programmes that address drug control, criminal justice reforms, and crime-prevention strategies. Responsibilities include conducting research on drug trafficking trends, crime patterns, and regional security issues; compiling data; and assisting in drafting analytical reports, briefs, and background papers.
The intern will help maintain project databases, support monitoring activities, and assist in preparing project documentation. Additional duties include participating in the organization of meetings, workshops, and training sessions; compiling meeting summaries; and supporting communication and visibility efforts for ongoing initiatives.
The role also involves assisting in stakeholder mapping, reviewing relevant project materials, and supporting coordination between UNODC and partner agencies. This internship provides valuable exposure to international crime-prevention frameworks and enables the intern to contribute meaningfully to ongoing field and policy work.
