Job Description
The Communications and Research Intern will support UN-Habitat teams by assisting in the development, packaging, and dissemination of communication materials, as well as contributing to research and knowledge-generation activities. Key responsibilities include drafting articles, preparing social media content, supporting website updates, and assisting in the production of visual and written communication products.
The intern will help compile research information, conduct literature reviews, and support preparation of background notes, case studies, and project summaries. Additional duties include assisting in organizing outreach events, supporting documentation of programme activities, and maintaining communication archives such as photos, reports, and media materials.
The role involves working closely with communication officers, programme staff, and technical teams to ensure accurate and engaging representation of project outcomes. The intern will also support monitoring of media coverage, assist in stakeholder mapping, and contribute to the development of knowledge products that highlight UN-Habitat’s work.
