The World Education Fund, through its partner organization U-Tena, is committed to expanding access to quality education in Kenya and other countries. The initiative focuses on supporting students to realize their full potential by offering scholarship opportunities for high-achieving learners to pursue Senior Secondary School education.

The scholarship covers school fees of up to Ksh. 20,000 per year, strictly allocated to school fees. It supports selected students in Grade 10, Grade 11, and Grade 12.
To qualify for a scholarship through The School Fund, applicants must:
• Be unable to afford the fees required to attend Senior Secondary School
• Have completed Junior Secondary School and passed the assessment for entry into Senior Secondary School
• Rank within the top 15% of their grade, based on grade position or assessment scores
• Demonstrate leadership, compassion, determination, and strong personal character
Being selected by U-Tena marks the beginning of an ongoing relationship between the organization and the student scholar. Scholarship recipients are expected to remain committed to academic excellence, maintain communication with U-Tena and the World Education Fund community, make use of available educational opportunities, and serve as positive leaders in their schools and communities.
All scholars must meet the following requirements to maintain their scholarship:
• Write in their online journals at least three times each year
• Maintain a position within the top 15% of their class
• Submit a transcript or report form at the end of every school term
• Participate in community service activities during school holidays
