PREAMBLE Pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 as read with sections 57, 58 and 58A(5) of the County Governments Act, 2020 (2012), the Selection Panel for the appointment of Chairperson and Members of the Kwale County Public Service Board hereby invites applications from competent and qualified persons to fill the positions of;- 1. Chairperson of the Kwale County Public Service Board 2. Members of the Kwale County Public Service Board TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE Terms of Service: Six (6) years non- renewable contract Salary: As set out by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC)

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT For a person to be qualified for appointment as a Chairperson or Member of the Kwale County Public Service Board, the following requirements must be met in accordance with Sec. 58(3); 1. Satisfies the provisions of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution. 2. Is not a state or public officer. (a) Has not, at any time within the preceding five years, held office, or stood for election as a member of Parliament or of a county assembly; or a member of the governing body of a political party; (b) Is, or has at any time been a candidate for election as a member of Parliament or of a county assembly; (c) Is, or has at any time been the holder of an office in any political organization that sponsors or otherwise supports, or has at any time sponsored or otherwise supported, a candidate for election as a member of Parliament or of a county assembly. 3. The Chairperson must possess the following; (a) A minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. (b) Working experience of not less than ten years. (c) Is a professional, demonstrates absence of breach of the relevant professional code of conduct. 4. The Member, must possess the following; (a) A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. (b) Working experience of not less than five years. (c) Is a professional, demonstrates absence of breach of the relevant professional code of conduct.

3. The Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission (EACC)
4. The Credit Reference Bureau(CRB)
5. All applications should be clearly marked “Application for the Position of either Chairperson or Member Kwale County Public Service Board” 4. All applications should reach the Chairperson of the Selection Panel for the recruitment of Members of the County Public Service Board by 4.30pm, East African time on or before 13^th January, 2026. 5.
