Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Company Secretary will organize, coordinate, and attend meetings of the Board of Directors and Board Committees. This includes preparing meeting schedules, issuing notices, compiling agendas in consultation with the Chairperson and management, and ensuring timely distribution of Board papers. Accurate minutes of meetings will be recorded, confirmed, and securely maintained as official records.
The role involves advising the Board and management on matters of corporate governance, applicable laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to water service providers and state-influenced entities. The Company Secretary will monitor compliance with statutory obligations, including filing of returns, maintenance of registers, and adherence to governance codes and policies.
