The Sales Representatives will be based in Nairobi at Jamii DT Sacco Court, Mukenia Road, South B, with assignments that may involve outreach across different regions of the country. Job Purpose

The primary purpose of the Sales Representative role is to support the Sacco’s growth by carrying out direct marketing, member recruitment, and product promotion activities in line with set targets. The job holder will actively engage potential and existing members, promote the Sacco’s products and services, and contribute to increased membership, product uptake, and overall market penetration. The role also involves maintaining relationships with stakeholders and supporting marketing initiatives aimed at strengthening the Sacco’s visibility and performance.

Detailed Job Description and Key Responsibilities

Direct Marketing and Member Recruitment

The Sales Representatives will be responsible for executing direct marketing activities aimed at recruiting new members into the Sacco. This will involve identifying prospective members across the country and engaging them through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and face-to-face interactions where applicable. The job holder will be expected to clearly communicate the benefits of joining the Sacco, explain available products and services, and guide potential members through the recruitment process.

A key aspect of this responsibility is the activation of dormant members. The Sales Representatives will identify inactive member accounts, engage the affected members, understand their needs, and encourage renewed participation in Sacco products and services. This process is intended to improve overall member engagement and increase product utilization.

Sales Opportunities Identification and Management

The role requires the active identification of new sales opportunities within both existing and potential member segments. Sales Representatives will assess market needs, identify potential business opportunities, and match these opportunities with suitable Sacco products. This includes the promotion and selling of loan products, savings products, and any other services offered by the Sacco.

The job holder will be expected to follow up on leads generated through marketing activities and ensure that potential members receive timely and accurate information. Consistent follow-up is essential to convert prospects into active members and product users.

Marketing of Products and Services

Sales Representatives will play a central role in marketing the Sacco’s products and services. This includes preparing and delivering presentations to prospective members and stakeholders, explaining product features, benefits, and terms in a clear and professional manner. The job holder will also respond to inquiries from potential members and provide guidance that supports informed decision-making.

In addition, the Sales Representatives will support the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and strategies aimed at driving Sacco growth. Relationship Building and Stakeholder Engagement

Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with potential stakeholders is a critical component of the role. Through consistent and professional interaction, the job holder will help build trust and reinforce the Sacco’s reputation as a reliable financial partner.

The Sales Representatives will be involved in organizing and supporting training activities in liaison with the Marketing Team. Monitoring and Reporting

The role includes responsibility for monitoring the performance of various marketing strategies and initiatives. Sales Representatives will collect relevant data, track progress against targets, and assess the effectiveness of marketing activities. Regular reporting is a core requirement of the position. Sales Representatives will be required to prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports detailing activities undertaken, results achieved, challenges encountered, and recommendations for improvement. Loan Sales and Collection Support

In addition to promoting membership and savings products, the Sales Representatives will be involved in selling loan products and supporting loan collection efforts. The Sales Representatives will be expected to perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or management from time to time. These duties will be related to the overall objectives of the Sales and Marketing Department and may include supporting special projects, participating in meetings, or contributing to departmental initiatives as required.
