TThe Open University of Kenya (OUK) is a Public Specialised University chartered in 3rd August 2023 pursuant to Section 24(1)(b) of the Universities Act (No. 42 of 2012). The University is located approximately 70 Kms from Nairobi at Konza Technopolis, within Makueni County along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collecting, maintaining, and managing statistical and administrative records.
- Handling accounts and personnel-related transactions.
- Receiving, sorting, filing, and dispatching correspondence and applications.
- Maintaining an efficient filing and records management system, including digitization.
- Preparing documents, including initial store issuance documents and Pay Change Advices (PCAs).
- Compiling, collating, and assisting in the analysis of data.
- Maintaining stores, equipment inventory, and general office supplies.
- Monitoring office cleanliness and coordinating general office services.
- Printing, binding, and preparing documents and materials as required.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
For appointment to this grade, one MUST have:
Must Have
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade C- (Minus) or its equivalent qualification;
- Passed the Proficiency Examination for Clerical Officers;
- Proficiency in ICT

- Applicants with degrees from foreign Universities MUST attach letter(s) of recognition from the Commission for University Education (CUE) as part of the application document.

- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya will be upheld and any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
Note that the Terms of Service will be either Permanent and Pensionable OR Contract, as shall be determined by the University Council.
