About the Role
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to support data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting in support of environmental programmes and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in data collection, cleaning, and validation
- Analyze datasets to identify trends and insights
- Support preparation of reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and research activities
- Support data management systems and documentation
- Collaborate with programme teams on data-driven initiatives
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or data visualization tools is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and in a multicultural environment
