As part of our continued growth, we are seeking to recruit a dynamic, creative, self-driven, and highly motivated professional to join our ICT team in the following role:


Officer – ICT

Reporting to: Manager – Infrastructure

The Officer – ICT will be part of the ICT team and will provide technical support for ICT infrastructure across the Bank. The role involves managing the ABC Bank Data Centre and Disaster Recovery (DR) Site, supporting core banking applications, troubleshooting networks and systems, administering servers, and ensuring maximum system uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day ICT support for Core Banking Applications (Level 1 and Level 2).
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network and system faults.
  • Administer, support, and manage Active Directory servers.
  • Test, evaluate, and support the implementation of new technologies.
  • Record reports and support system upgrades within the ICT infrastructure.
  • Monitor and maintain endpoint devices and network equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, server environments, and systems to ensure reliable Data Centre operations.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and specifications for ICT planning and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Perform server administration tasks including user and group management, security permissions, group policies, resource monitoring, and log analysis.
  • Monitor Data Centre health using management tools and respond to hardware and system issues.
  • Support capacity planning, storage management, and performance monitoring for virtual environments.
  • Perform or oversee backup operations, data protection processes, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Implement and support network and systems security policies, including patching, upgrades, and protection against malware and unauthorized access.
  • Maintain network integrity, server deployment, email security, and data storage security.
  • Manage internal ICT infrastructure including laptops, desktops, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, and communication devices.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications, ensuring optimal performance.

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ banking experience.
  • System Administration certifications (desirable).
  • Networking Administration certifications (desirable).
  • Strong LAN, WAN, and endpoint network assessment and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-driven, open-minded, and proactive attitude.
