United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa), is a Higher Learning Institution based in Nairobi, Kenya and is the most diverse university in East and Central Africa with about 7,000 students from over 60 nations, and a global network of more than 27,000 alumni. USIU-Africa is the only university in Sub-Saharan Africa whose degree programs are accredited by both the Kenya Government through the Commission for University Education (CUE), and by the American Government through the WASC Senior Colleges and Universities Commission (WSCUC).

External Examiners – Doctoral Programs
USIU–Africa offers rigorous, research-intensive doctoral programs designed to produce scholars and thought leaders capable of contributing original knowledge to their disciplines. The programs emphasize advanced research, critical analysis, and academic excellence, aligning with global standards and addressing global developmental and intellectual challenges.

- Doctor Of Psychology (Psy.D), Clinical Psychology
Specializations: Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Health Psychology, Research Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Neuropsychology, Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International Relations
Specializations: Development Studies, Diplomacy & Foreign Policy, Peace, Conflict and Security Studies
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Systems and Technology
Specializations: Machine Learning, Information Systems and Cybersecurity, E-Society and Information Systems, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Distribution Systems
USIU-Africa invites applications from qualified scholars to serve as External Examiners for the above-named doctoral programs. This call aligns with the University’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of research quality, academic integrity, and global benchmarking in postgraduate education.
The External Examiner will:
- Critically evaluate the quality, originality, and contribution of the doctoral research.
- Provide a detailed written report assessing the thesis before the oral defence.
The Applicants should:
- Hold an earned doctoral degree in a relevant field.
- Hold the rank of senior lecturer and above at an accredited university
- Have at least 5 years professional experience in the field
- Demonstrate experience in doctoral supervision and external examination
- Have recent and relevant scholarly publications in their area of specialization
