Job Summary
The purpose of this role is to support data collection for the second phase of the IDRC study in Isiolo County titled “Care for All: Catalyzing Care Innovations in Marginalized and Vulnerable Communities in Kenya’s Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL)”
Terms of Reference
We are seeking to hire 15 Field Enumerators
Specific tasks
The Field Enumerators include:
- Familiarizing with data collection tools, consenting process and protocols.
- Introducing participants to the study and conducting the consenting process.
- Conducting data collection activities as per the outlined protocols.
- Documentation of all field implementation and community engagement process including keeping accurate records and raw data
- Digitize data by accurately entering information from hard copy documents into the designated databases.
- Ensuring proper storage of the study documents/samples
- Providing regular updates on progress, challenges and submitting timely reports on data collection activities
Relevant qualifications:
- A Degree/Diploma in Social Science, Economic or any other related field.
- Proficiency in the use of smart phone/tablet /computer is required.
- Familiarity with research ethics.
- Ability to work within tight schedules under minimal supervision.
- Should be fluent in English/Swahili
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
