The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is a premier research-to-policy institution, generating evidence, strengthening research and related capacity in the African research and development ecosystem, and engaging policy to inform action on health and development.

APHRC seeks to drive change by developing strong African research leadership and promoting evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) across sub-Saharan Africa.

As the research and learning partner in the TeachWell Project consortium, APHRC is conducting an Implementation/Fidelity Study to assess the extent to which TeachWell interventions are delivered as intended and how they are taken up in school settings.

APHRC seeks to examine how teachers in refugee and host community schools implement and experience key components of the TeachWell Project, including professional development support, instructional practices, classroom environments, and selected aspects of teacher well-being.


The study seeks to recruit qualified Quantitative Field Enumerators for the study. 

Data collection is scheduled to take place in March 2026. Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. The research assistants will undertake the following duties and responsibilities.
2. Commit to attend all days of training and data collection.
3. Obtain and document informed consent from the study participants before the interviews.
4. Conduct and record all interviews held with respondents using digital recorders.
5. Participate in daily debrief meetings.
6. Be a custodian of the APHRC data collection equipment during field work.
7. Observe safeguarding procedures throughout the data engagement.
8. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements
1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate, with a minimum grade of C plain.
2. Experience in electronic data capture methods like survey CTO and devices like electronic digital recorders.
3. Attention to detail to ensure the correctness of all data entered.
4. Fluency in English and Swahili
5. Be available to work full-time on the project for the duration of the study
