Kenyatta University seeks to recruit competent and dedicated applicants to fill up the following positions:

  1. CONSULTANT OBSTRECIAN /GYNECOLOGIST – GRADE 13

 Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Medicine and Surgery- MBCHB from a registered and reputable institution.
  • Masters degree in medicine specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology from a registered and reputable institution.
  • Specialist recognition certificate
  • Registered with Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council
  • Valid Practice License
  • At least three (3) years post specialization work experience
  • Computer Literate
  • Able to work under pressure
  1. MEDICAL DOCTOR – GRADE 12

 Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in medicine and surgery- MBCHB from a registered and reputable institution.
  • At least five (5) years post internship work experience in a busy facility or similar setting.
  • Registered with Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
  • Valid Practice License
  • Computer Literate
  • Able to work under pressure
  1. NURSING OFFICER- GRADE C/ D (MAIN CAMPUS)

 Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in Nursing from a registered and reputable institution
  • A Higher National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Nursing from a registered and reputable institution will be an added advantage.
  • Previous working experience in a university or institution of higher learning setting will be an added advantage
  • At least three (3) years work experience in a busy hospital
  • Registered with Nursing council of Kenya
  • Computer Literate
  • Able to work under pressure
  1. NURSING OFFICER- GRADE C/ D (NAKURU CAMPUS)

 Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in Nursing from a registered and reputable institution
  • At least two (2)  work experience in a busy hospital
  • Registered with nursing council of Kenya
  • Computer Literate
  • Able to work under pressure
  1. LABARATORY ASSISTANT – GRADE III/IV

 Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • KSCE certificate with a grade of D Plain and above
  • At least three (3) years work experience in a busy laboratory, hospital of similar settings.
  • Computer Literate
  • Able to work under pressure
  1. PHYSIOTHERAPIST – GRADE C/D

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in physiotherapy or related field from a registered and reputable institution.
  • BSc. degree in physiotherapy from a registered and reputable institution is an added advantage
  • At least five (5) work experience in a busy hospital or any other relevant settings.
  • Registered with Kenya society for physiotherapy
  • Valid Practice License by physiotherapy council of Kenya
  • Able to work under pressure
  1. MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST – GRADE C/D (MAIN CAMPUS)

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in medical laboratory sciences or related field from a recognized institution

  1. HEALTH MEDICAL RECORDS OFFICER – GRADE C/D

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma in medical records from a recognized institution
  • A degree in Health information management from a registered and reputable institution will be an added advantage
  • At least three (5) years of  working experience in a busy facility
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) systems
  • Computer Literate

  1. LEGAL OFFICER II – GRADE 11

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a registered and reputable institution.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law.
  • Be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate;
  • Have served in a similar role for a period of three (3) years or in a comparable and relevant position with working experience in conveyancing, labor laws, public procurement law, commercial law, legal drafting and have negotiation skills;
  • Have demonstrable ICT skills
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
  • Have demonstrable professional competence and high administrative ability in work performance and results.
  1. EXECUTIVE CHEF

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Creating unique and cuisine-appropriate menus that meet quality standards.
  2. Working with the Food and Beverage Manager to set item prices and ensure a seamless dining experience.
  3. Ensuring the kitchen and surrounding areas meet the set hotel standards and health code regulations.
  4. Monitoring inventory and purchasing supplies and food from approved vendors.
  5. Hiring, training, and supervising kitchen staff, and providing direction for all day-to-day operations.
  6. Identifying and introducing new culinary techniques and trends.
  7. Managing the budget, ordering supplies, and ensuring profitability.
  8. Providing exceptional service and ensuring guest satisfaction.

  Skills and Qualifications:

  1. A diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field from a reputable culinary school or college.
  2. Certifications such as HACCP and FSMS with a focus on food safety and hygiene.
  3. At least five (5) years of experience working in professional kitchens.
  4. Experience in various types of cuisine and kitchen operations.
  5. Previous leadership roles, such as Head Chef or Sous Chef, demonstrate the ability to manage a team.
  1. HEAD MARKETER

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to boost the hotel’s visibility and increase bookings.
  2. Manage marketing campaigns across various platforms such as social media, email, and print.
  3. Conduct market research to identify trends and competitor offerings.
  4. Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  5. Prepare and manage the marketing budget.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with media and stakeholders.
  7. Manage and improve online content, considering SEO and Google Analytics.
  8. Plan and implement promotional events and campaigns.
  9. Prepare and present regular reports on marketing performance

Qualification & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or a Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; a Master’s Degree in a relevant area will be an added advantage
  2. Knowledge of Opera and Oracle Hospitality Suite 8
  3. Extensive experience in marketing management, ideally within the hospitality industry. Demonstrated experience in developing and executing marketing strategies. Proven track record in team leadership and project management.
  4. Professional certifications in marketing

 Other requirements:

  1. Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a marketing team; strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across departments.
  2. Skill in developing long-term marketing strategies aligned with business goals; ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft compelling marketing messages and presentations.
  4. Schedule and post brand content on social media platforms, e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn, on a daily and monthly basis.
  5. Update website information, Online booking platforms like Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, etc.
  6. A creative mindset to develop unique marketing campaigns and promotional activities; willingness to innovate and experiment with new ideas.
  7. Proficiency in analyzing data to measure campaign effectiveness; ability to interpret metrics and generate actionable insights.
  8. Knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO, SEM). Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems (CMS). Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe software will be an advantage
  9. Understanding of customer needs and behaviors in the hospitality industry; ability to create marketing strategies that enhance guest experiences.
  10. Skill in preparing and managing marketing budgets; ability to allocate resources effectively and monitor expenditures

The terms of service include a basic salary and a house allowance.
