The first school support campaign for 2026-2027 is now open.
Families can start submitting their application (school grant and/or financial assistance for an AESH – Accompanying person for a student with a disability -) online on the Scolaide platform.
Low-income families can apply for a school grant for their French children enrolled in schools under the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE).
To be eligible for this assistance, the following conditions must be met:
The child for whom a scholarship is requested must:
• be of French nationality,
• be at least 3 years old during the calendar year of the start of the school year (i.e., on December 31, 2026),
• be registered with the Register of French Nationals Living Abroad, as well as the parent applying for the scholarship: register with the register of French Nationals Abroad,
• reside in the consular district with one or both parent(s),
• be registered or in the process of registering in an establishment approved by the AEFE (Lycée Français Denis Diderot and Ecole Française de Runda),
• The family must no longer receive family benefits from the CAF (presentation of a deregistration certificate is mandatory for families whose children have resided in France recently).
For support for AESH (Assistant for a Student with a Disability), the only requirement is recognition by the MDPH (Departmental Center for Disabled Persons) of a disability rate exceeding 50% and a need for human assistance within the child’s schooling. This program is available to all French students, whether or not they receive scholarships, regardless of income or assets.
Completed applications, accompanied by all supporting documents, must be submitted before February 28, 2026:
• Online via the link https://scolaide.aefe.gouv.fr/ , in case of difficulty, families can contact support at: [email protected]
A mandatory interview may be offered to families by the consular team.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• Families already residing in the district at the start of the application period must submit their school grant application during the first period.
• The school grant application must be renewed each year during the first application period.
• Families submitting their application after this deadline will have it rejected.
• Any inaccurate or incomplete information may result in exclusion from the school grant program.
