Expected Duration

The internship is for a fixed period, with the duration determined in accordance with UN-Habitat internship policies and programme requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the responsible officer and in close collaboration with the Inclusive and Resilient Urban Development team, the Intern will support programme and project activities aimed at strengthening inclusive, resilient, and sustainable urban development initiatives.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Support research, analysis, and documentation related to inclusive and resilient urban development initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documents, concept notes, briefs, presentations, and reports.
  • Contribute to data collection, compilation, and basic analysis in support of urban development programmes and projects.
  • Support coordination of programme activities, meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements, both virtual and in-person.
  • Assist in monitoring ongoing activities and compiling progress updates for internal and external reporting.
  • Contribute to knowledge management activities, including organizing information, maintaining records, and supporting learning products.
  • Support communication and outreach activities related to inclusive and resilient urban development work.
  • Collaborate with team members across UN-Habitat units to support integrated programme delivery.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor in support of the department’s objectives.
