Expected Duration

The internship is for a fixed period, with the duration determined in accordance with UN-Habitat internship policies and operational requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a designated officer, the Intern will support activities related to sustainable energy solutions in the built environment. Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Supporting research and analysis on sustainable energy use, energy efficiency, and low-carbon solutions within the built environment.
  • Assisting in the preparation of technical documents, concept notes, briefs, presentations, and reports related to sustainable energy initiatives.
  • Supporting data collection, compilation, and basic analysis for projects focusing on energy and buildings.
  • Assisting in the coordination of meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements related to sustainable energy and urban development.
  • Supporting monitoring and documentation of project activities and progress.
  • Contributing to knowledge management activities, including organizing technical information and maintaining project records.
  • Assisting with communication and outreach activities related to sustainable energy programmes.
  • Collaborating with team members across UN-Habitat units to support integrated programme delivery.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned in support of departmental objectives.
