- Senior Accountant – Eldoret
The Senior Accountant position supports financial management, accounting controls, and reporting functions within KEMRI’s operations in Eldoret. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with financial policies, and effective support to research and operational activities.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with approved accounting standards
- Supporting budgeting, budget monitoring, and expenditure control processes
- Processing payments, invoices, and financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner
- Reconciling accounts, bank statements, and financial records
- Supporting preparation of financial reports for management and donors
- Ensuring compliance with KEMRI financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements
- Supporting internal and external audit processes
- Monitoring utilization of funds and reporting variances
- Maintaining proper documentation and filing of financial records
- Providing financial support to research projects and operational units

- Administrator – Eldoret

Terms of Employment
All positions are offered on a contract basis under the terms and conditions set by the Kenya Medical Research Institute. Deployment will be to the specified duty stations based on operational requirements.
