The Driver will be responsible for supporting the University’s transport function by ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation of assigned vehicles and plant equipment. The role requires adherence to safety standards, regulatory compliance, and operational record keeping.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Driving assigned plant and vehicles in accordance with traffic regulations and institutional policies.
Maintaining safety and security of plant and vehicles to minimize pilferage and extend operational lifespan.
Maintaining and updating work tickets for assigned vehicles.
Implementing scheduled maintenance and coordinating servicing as required.

Job Specification

The Plant Operator will support the University’s farm and related operations by operating heavy plant equipment and ensuring machinery efficiency, safety, and productivity. The role requires technical expertise in heavy plant operations and adherence to service schedules.

Operating heavy plant equipment of difficult rating Class B and C safely and efficiently.
Maintaining monthly service records for plant machinery and equipment.
Preparing monthly and weekly service schedules to meet farm production targets.
Guiding plant operators, turn boys, and attendants in identifying possible breakdowns.

The Senior Security Assistant will support campus security operations and supervision of security personnel, ensuring effective perimeter control and enforcement of University regulations.

Conducting periodic patrols across the University to maintain secure perimeters.
Carrying out spot checks at student hostels to monitor unauthorized access.
Issuing gate passes to students and staff.
Issuing visitor badges at the main gate for identification purposes.
Arresting individuals causing violence in accordance with University rules.
