Introduction

The officer will review proposed policies, strategic initiatives, and operational decisions to ensure compliance with applicable legal frameworks and mitigate potential legal risks. Legal opinions and advisory notes must be comprehensive, well-reasoned, and aligned with institutional objectives.

Litigation and Dispute Resolution

The role entails managing and overseeing all litigation matters involving the organization. This includes preparing legal documents, pleadings, affidavits, and submissions; coordinating with external advocates; and representing the organization in courts, tribunals, and other dispute resolution forums where required.

The Senior Legal Officer will monitor ongoing cases, provide regular status reports to management, and recommend appropriate strategies for resolution, including negotiation, mediation, or settlement where necessary.
