To support its ongoing expansion and brand evolution agenda, the company is recruiting for two key positions within the Marketing function:

• Senior Graphic Designer – Brand and Identity
• Graphic Designer – Video, Motion and 3D

These roles present an opportunity for creative professionals to contribute directly to brand development, campaign execution, and digital innovation within a fast-paced retail and consumer-focused environment. The positions are designed to enhance in-house creative capacity, ensure brand consistency across multiple platforms, and elevate the overall quality of visual communication across all company touchpoints.

Both roles are based at the Ruiru Headquarters and report to the Head of Marketing.

Position 1: Senior Graphic Designer – Brand and Identity
Department: Marketing

Overview of the Role

The Senior Graphic Designer – Brand and Identity will play a central role in safeguarding and strengthening the company’s brand architecture across all consumer and corporate channels. This position is responsible for ensuring that visual communication across retail outlets, digital platforms, print materials, and corporate communications remains consistent, high-quality, and aligned with established brand guidelines.

The role requires a strategic creative professional with strong brand thinking capability, advanced technical design skills, and the ability to translate marketing objectives into visually compelling assets. The position contributes directly to campaign execution, retail presence, internal communications, and corporate identity management.

Job Purpose

The Senior Graphic Designer – Brand and Identity is responsible for maintaining and evolving brand consistency across all marketing and corporate touchpoints. The role ensures that all creative output aligns with approved brand guidelines, supports campaign objectives, and enhances the overall visual standards of the business.

This position serves as a custodian of visual identity, ensuring that all creative executions across multiple brands under the company portfolio are coherent, strategic, and professionally executed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Brand Governance and Identity Management

• Maintain and evolve brand guidelines across all brands under the company portfolio.
• Ensure consistent application of brand elements including color systems, typography, imagery, tone, and layout principles.
• Uphold visual identity standards across all retail, digital, print, and corporate materials.
• Monitor brand usage internally and provide corrective direction where inconsistencies arise.

Campaign Design and Creative Execution

• Design and execute campaign visuals across Above The Line (ATL), Below The Line (BTL), digital, and in-store channels.
• Translate marketing briefs into compelling, high-quality creative assets aligned with campaign objectives.
• Develop strong key visuals and adapt them across multiple formats including social media, print advertisements, banners, and promotional collateral.
• Ensure creative outputs are delivered within agreed timelines and campaign calendars.

Retail and In-Store Design

• Design in-store point-of-sale materials, window displays, promotional assets, and dealer support materials.
• Support visual merchandising initiatives through clear and impactful design direction.
• Collaborate with retail and sales teams to ensure in-store branding aligns with broader campaign strategies.

Corporate Communication and Internal Materials

• Develop presentations, reports, and corporate communication materials that align with visual identity standards.
• Ensure all internal and external communications maintain brand integrity and professional presentation.
• Provide design support for executive presentations and stakeholder-facing materials.

Project and Workflow Management

• Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Interpret briefs constructively and, where necessary, challenge them professionally to improve output quality.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and retail teams to ensure creative alignment with commercial objectives.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with departmental objectives.

Qualification / Experience

• 4 to 6 years of experience in graphic design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating brand identity development and campaign execution.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Experience working across retail and digital environments.
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, and visual systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of initiative and proactive approach to problem-solving.

The Graphic Designer – Video, Motion and 3D will focus on developing high-quality multimedia content to support digital marketing initiatives, social media engagement, campaign promotions, and in-store displays. The role strengthens the organization’s internal multimedia capability and supports the reduction of reliance on external agencies for video and 3D production.

This position requires a technically proficient creative professional with expertise in video editing, motion graphics, and 3D modeling. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating campaign concepts into engaging multimedia content optimized for digital and retail platforms.

Job Purpose

The Graphic Designer – Video, Motion and 3D is responsible for producing professional-grade video content, motion graphics, and 3D visual assets to support digital campaigns, product launches, seasonal promotions, and in-store display materials.

The role contributes to brand storytelling, customer engagement, and enhanced visual communication through innovative multimedia production.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Video Production and Editing

• Edit short-form and long-form videos for social media platforms, digital advertisements, websites, and in-store screens.
• Develop promotional videos for marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal offers.
• Optimize video content for different platform specifications and digital channels.
• Ensure consistent quality, pacing, and messaging across all video outputs.

Motion Graphics and Animation

• Create motion graphics including animated titles, transitions, and visual effects.
• Develop animated promotional content and product highlight videos.
• Integrate visual storytelling techniques into campaign materials.
• Maintain attention to detail in animation timing, transitions, and rendering quality.

3D Modeling and Rendering

• Create basic to intermediate 3D product models and scenes using Blender.
• Develop 3D product animations for marketing use.
• Produce high-quality renders for digital campaigns and social media content.
• Adapt 3D assets to suit various marketing and promotional requirements.

Multimedia Support and Adaptation

• Support photoshoots and video shoots where required.
• Adapt multimedia content for multiple digital formats and screen sizes.
• Translate campaign briefs into engaging and technically sound multimedia content.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to align multimedia outputs with campaign strategy.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in support of departmental objectives.
