TERMS OF SERVICE

The terms of service include basic salary and a house allowance. Applicants are required to provide full details of educational and professional qualifications, work experience, present post and salary, telephone number, and e-mail address. Copies of certificates and testimonials must be enclosed, together with the names and addresses of three (3) referees who are conversant with the applicant’s competence in the relevant area of specialization.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTIONS

  1. Personnel/Administrative Assistant

Job Purpose
The Personnel/Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and human resource support services to ensure efficient day-to-day operations within the designated department or unit. The role supports staff administration, records management, and coordination of office activities.

Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the department, including preparation of correspondence, reports, and official documentation.
Maintain accurate personnel records, ensuring confidentiality and proper filing of employee information.
Assist in processing staff documentation such as leave applications, confirmations, transfers, and contract renewals.
Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action points.
Support recruitment processes by organizing interview schedules, receiving applications, and maintaining recruitment records.
Manage office supplies and coordinate procurement requests in line with internal procedures.
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring timely response and routing.
Support compliance with university administrative policies and procedures.
Maintain updated databases and electronic records systems.
Perform any other administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  1. Front Office Cashier

Job Purpose
The Front Office Cashier will be responsible for handling financial transactions at the designated service points, ensuring accuracy in receipting, reconciliation, and reporting while providing courteous service to students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
Receive payments for university services, fees, and other charges in accordance with approved financial procedures.
Issue official receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
Balance daily cash collections and prepare reconciliation reports.
Maintain proper custody of cash and other payment instruments.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial summaries as required.
Address customer inquiries related to payments and provide clear information on payment procedures.
Report discrepancies or irregularities promptly to the supervisor.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal control systems.
Maintain confidentiality of financial records and transaction details.
Assist in audit processes by providing required documentation and reports.

  1. Housekeeping Floor Supervisor

Job Purpose
The Housekeeping Floor Supervisor will oversee housekeeping operations within assigned areas, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene standards, and efficient allocation of housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise housekeeping attendants to ensure daily cleaning schedules are effectively implemented.
Inspect rooms and common areas to verify adherence to established cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Allocate duties and monitor performance of housekeeping staff.
Report maintenance issues and coordinate timely corrective actions.
Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning materials and equipment.
Maintain inventory records for cleaning supplies and requisition replacements as needed.

Sort and categorize laundry items before processing.

  1. Laundry Attendant

The Laundry Attendant will assist in processing, sorting, folding, and distribution of laundry items to ensure efficient laundry services.

Key Responsibilities

Load and unload laundry machines under supervision.
Fold, iron, and package clean linen and garments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
Assist in tracking laundry inventory and reporting shortages.

  1. Public Area Attendant

Job Purpose
The Public Area Attendant will ensure that public spaces within the university premises are clean, orderly, and presentable at all times.

Dust, sweep, mop, and sanitize surfaces regularly.

  1. Chef De Partie

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards.
Supervise junior kitchen staff within the assigned section.
Ensure proper food storage, portion control, and waste minimization.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety compliance.
Monitor stock levels and assist in requisitioning supplies.
Ensure timely service during meal periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work station.
Support menu planning and quality improvement initiatives.
