Key Purpose:The Country Lead Engineering & Projects is responsible for driving engineering excellence and standardization across the organization by building technical capability, providing strong technical leadership, and ensuring robust governance, compliance, and sustainability practices. The role oversees asset management and investment planning while also supporting the business through delivery of major projects and innovation initiatives. |
| Key Duties & Responsibilities | Key Outputs and Accountabilities include, but not limited to:Develop and implement engineering best practices to improve asset reliability and operational efficiency.Lead the standardization of maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, and corrective) across all plants.Assess plant engineering performance and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.Provide technical guidance and coaching to plant maintenance engineering leads, ensuring alignment with Group Engineering standards.Monitor and enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in engineering operations.Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements in maintenance and engineering processes.Work closely with Group Engineering on large capital projects, ensuring seamless execution at the country level.Champion sustainability initiatives, including energy and water reduction programs, in line with corporate goals.Establish strong partnerships with vendors, contractors, and technology providers to support innovation and plant optimization. |
| Skills, Experience & Education | Qualifications and Experience:QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.Lean Six Sigma or TPM Certification preferred.Additional qualifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage. Experience10 years of experience in engineering and maintenance within an FMCG or bottling environment.Experience in leading cross-functional engineering teams and coaching plant maintenance leads. Skills Strong expertise in asset reliability, maintenance planning, and engineering standardization.Knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability programs, and compliance requirements.Strong stakeholder management skills with experience in liaising between plant teams, Group Engineering, and external partners.Strong analytical skills with experience in engineering data analysis, cost optimization, and performance benchmarking.Familiarity with D365 PM (Plant Maintenance) or similar maintenance management systems. |
