Equip Africa Institute Is Seeking Qualified Public Health Professionals to Join its Training Team at The Thika Centre.

Equip Africa Institute is a leading accredited and licensed Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution, recognized under the TVET Act, 2013, and aligned with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education.

Equip Africa Institute therefore invites applications from suitably qualified, dynamic, and visionary professionals with a proven track record to fill the position of Full-Time Trainer in the Department of Public Health.

Qualification

Must have

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health from a recognized institution.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in training in a similar institution.
  3. Valid registration and a current practicing license with the Public Health Officers and Technicians Council (PHOTC).
  4. Valid Technical Trainer Registration by TVETA.

Key responsibilities also include

  1. Plan, prepare and teach the units assigned, as outlined in the course outline in line with the course curriculum.
  2. Development of learning materials, timely preparation and submission of professional records and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
  3. Plan, develop and deliver appropriate learning plans for individual students.
  4. Assess students work and monitor their achievement
  5. Take part in the Course review process and adapt delivery patterns to meet student needs
  6. Examining and marking of Trainees’ Assessment Tests (C.A.Ts and end of term assessments) and timely uploading of marks in the MIS of the units assigned
  7. Carry out Practical instructions for trainees and maintaining their portfolios of evidence
  8. Supervising students during assessments
  9. Contributing to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum
  10. Participation in departmental meetings
  11. Other duties as may be assigned to you by your supervisor
