Kenya Railways (KR) is a Government-Owned Enterprise established under the Government-Owned Enterprises Act No. 25 of 2025. The Corporation’s Vision is to be a provider of world-class rail services, while its Mission is to develop a safe, reliable, and sustainable integrated rail network.
Kenya’s railway system comprises the Meter Gauge Railway (MGR) (Mombasa – Malaba with branch lines to Nanyuki and Kisumu) and the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) (Mombasa – Naivasha), with ongoing extension to Kisumu and Malaba.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS
Applicants MUST provide the following documents on application:
- A signed application letter;
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae indicating current and previous employers, positions held, level of education, current and expected salary, notice period required to take up appointment and names of at least three professional referees;
- Copies of academic and professional certificates; and
- Copy of National Identification Card or Passport.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE:

Only successful candidates will be expected to present the following Chapter Six Clearance Certificates:
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations;
- Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
- Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
- Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
- Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
