Job Description
The Finance and Budget Assistant will support the GEF Climate Mitigation Unit under the supervision of the Administrative Officer. The role focuses on project and fund management, as well as general administrative support, ensuring effective delivery of programme objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting project and fund management activities for the GEF Medium-Sized Projects (MSP) and Full-Sized Projects (FSP) portfolio
- Assisting in tracking financial performance, budgets, and expenditures across projects
- Supporting financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Coordinating administrative processes related to project implementation
- Maintaining financial and administrative records in line with organizational standards
- Assisting in monitoring fund utilization and ensuring proper allocation of resources
- Supporting internal coordination within the Climate Mitigation Unit
- Providing general administrative support to enhance operational efficiency
