QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE FIELD INTERVIEWERS

  • Deadline: May 14, 2026
  • Kenya

APHRC, in partnership with the Population Council-Kenya and the Ministry of Education, is implementing a study titled ‘Mitigating School-Related Gender-Based Violence (MSRGBV)’. School-related gender-based violence (SRGBV), including physical, sexual, and emotional abuse in and around learning environments, remains a significant challenge in Kenya. It undermines learners’ safety, psychosocial well-being, school attendance, and academic performance. While Kenya has strong legal and policy frameworks to protect children, there is limited context-specific evidence on the nature of violence occurring within schools, the effectiveness of existing prevention measures, and how well stakeholders understand and respond to SRGBV. This study seeks to fill these gaps by generating comprehensive evidence on the prevalence of various types of SRGBV, awareness levels, prevention strategies, response mechanisms, and lived experiences among learners, teachers, school administrators, parents/caregivers, and key education stakeholders. The evidence will inform the development of national policy guidelines on SRGBV. The study will be conducted across 10 counties in Kenya, including Narok, Baringo, Samburu, Busia, Siaya, Wajir, Kitui, Kwale, Kiambu, and Nairobi, and will take place between May and June 2026. APHRC is therefore seeking qualified and experienced field interviewers to support data collection for this study.
