Qualifications and Experience

1. BSc. Degree in Human Anatomy and an MBChB degree from a local or foreign university recognized by the Commission for University Education, Kenya.

3. A PhD in Anatomy will be an added advantage
4. If an MBChB degree holder, registration by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council, and possesses a valid practicing license

5. Evidence of successfully applying for a grant either individually or as a group since being appointed as a Senior Lecturer
6. Evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good quality teaching
7. Evidence of attendance and contribution at learning conferences, seminars, and workshops

• SENIOR LECTURER

Qualifications and Experience

1. An earned PhD degree or equivalent in Physical Education, Exercise and Sports Science, Sports Physiotherapy, Recreation  and Sports Management, or related field from an accredited and recognized university
2. At least three (3) years of University teaching experience as a full-time Lecturer.
3. At least three (3) articles in refereed Journals since being appointed Lecturer
4. Successful supervision of at least three (3) Master’s students.
5. Evidence of applying for a grant either individually or as a group since being appointed as Lecturer.Evidence of good quality teaching.
6. Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.

• LECTURER

Qualifications and experience

1. PhD Degree in Physical Education, Recreation Management, Exercise and Sports Science from a recognized University
2. Full-time University teaching experience as a Tutorial Fellow or as an Assistant Lecturer for at least three (3) years

• TUTORIAL FELLOW

Qualifications and experience

1. Master’s degree in Sports Physiotherapy, Exercise and Sports Science, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports Management, or related field from an accredited and recognized University
2. Be registered or registerable for a PhD. in a relevant field.
3. Applicants must be prepared to pursue PhD. in their areas of specialization.
4. Registration and University teaching experience will be an added advantage.

DEPARTMENT OF FASHION DESIGN AND MARKETING

• • TUTORIAL FELLOW

Qualifications and experience

1. Master’s degree in Fashion, Design, and Marketing or Textiles, Clothing, and Design or a related field from an accredited and recognized university.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Design and Marketing or Textiles, Clothing, and Design or a related field from an accredited and recognized university.
3. Teaching experience at the university level will be an added advantage.
4. Applicants must be prepared to pursue a Ph.D. in the specified areas of specialization.
5. Registration for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a relevant field will be an added advantage.

DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

• • LECTURER (MARKETING) – MAIN CAMPUS

Qualifications

1. PhD in Marketing from an accredited university. The doctorate MUST be in Marketing (not a general Business Administration or Management PhD).
2. Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) in a business-related area, preferably with a Marketing specialisation/option, from an accredited university.
3. Bachelor’s degree in a business-related area, preferably in Marketing, from an accredited university.
4. Consistent progression in the three degrees (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD) as per the Commission for University Education (CUE) guidelines.

Teaching Experience

1. Demonstrable university-level teaching experience in Marketing courses at undergraduate and, preferably, postgraduate level.
2. Evidence of curriculum development and examination work in Marketing.
3. Experience in supervising postgraduate students’ research projects and theses will be an added advantage.

Research and Publications

1. Demonstrable research experience in Marketing or a closely related business area.
2. Publications in refereed journals in line with the Kenyatta University/CUE requirements for appointment at the rank of Lecturer.
3. Evidence of ability to attract and manage research grants will be an added advantage.

Professional and Other Requirements

1. Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., the Marketing Society of Kenya or the Chartered Institute of Marketing) will be an added advantage.
2. Proficiency in ICT and in the use of learning management systems.
3. Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya at the point of appointment.

DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACEUTICS AND INDUSTRIAL PHARMACY

6. The applicant should be registered and with a current practice license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
7. At least three (3) years academic or research experience at University or research institution at Senior Lecturer level.

9. Supervised a minimum of four (4) post-graduate students to completion; including at least one doctoral student.

• SENIOR LECTURER IN PHARMACEUTICS

Qualifications and Experience

• TECHNICIAN (PHARMACEUTICS) GRADE A/B

Qualifications and Experience

1. A Diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution in the following areas of training: Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Phytochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, Ethnobotany, Plant Taxonomy, or Applied Biology.
2. At least three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar grade.
3. Registration by the relevant regulatory body.

TERMS OF SERVICE:

A competitive remuneration package, which includes basic salary, house allowance, and medical cover as per the University Scheme, will be provided.

Tutorial Fellows are employed on one (1) year renewable contract up to a maximum of three (3) years.
