Currently the Bank is seeking additional talent to serve in the role of Head of Asset Finance

1. Bancassurance Officers

Job Purpose: 

This role is responsible for supporting the branch to cross sell and increase the uptake of Insurance products through collaborating with the team to identify opportunities and move them forward into placement of covers, in line with the overall strategy of Equity.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Train the branch staff on the insurance products being distributed by EBIL.
  • Cross-sell the insurance products to the customers who are consuming the other bank products
  • Ensuring that the existing insurance business is renewed at the right time. Expected Renewal Target will be minimum 85% every month. 
  • Achieve the expected periodical insurance business growth in the branch.
  • Achieving the expected business portfolio mix across different classes of insurance. 
  • Join branch staff on marketing drives to sensitize customers on insurance products on offer.
  • Assist branch particularly credit department to de-risk lending by obtaining relevant insurance policies for the various assets being financed by the Bank or being used as collateral. 
  • Overseeing proper filing of customer insurance records and documents in the branch.
  • Assist the branch customers in documentation and processing of their insurance claims in collaboration with HO Claims Department.
  • Enforce compliance on all insurance policies and procedures at the branch.
  • Support the branch in any other area as may be requested by the branch management.
  • Support the HO Bancassurance Team in projects implementation as requested from time to time.

2. Procurement Officer

Job Purpose

The role holder will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT procurement through implementation of the procurement strategy, optimizing costs across the product life cycle, and ensuring proactive supplier management to deliver value to internal clients.

It will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams from the business, supporting the development, implementation and management of the IT category, ensuring the delivery of reliable supply, quality, service, competitive costs, and incremental savings as required by the business.

Key Responsibilities.

Category Governance:

  • Conduct regular strategic reviews to assess whether the category is aligned with market trends and business objectives.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion by ensuring a broad mix of suppliers in the category.
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to optimize category decision-making and performance.
  • Provide training to team members on category governance best practices and compliance to ensure consistency.

3. Relationship Officer- Pamoja Banking

RELATIONSHIP OFFICER – PAMOJA BANKING

The Relationship Officer Credit – Pamoja Banking sector will support the business to achieve its objectives at the branch level. He/she is responsible for all group lending activities at the branch level.

The Relationship Officer Credit – Pamoja Banking sector will report to Branch Business Growth & Development Manager. He /She will manage and coordinate all the group’s activities / operations under him/her to ensure Sector goals (Growth and Quality) and objectives are achieved.

 Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Relationship Manager Business, the Relationship Officer- Pamoja Banking has the responsibility to manage and coordinate all the groups under him/her to ensure the bank’s goals and objectives are achieved.

Job Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach:

  • Hold consultative meetings with stakeholders (e.g., Chiefs, market opinion leaders) to arrange meetings with potential clients (groups).
  • Prepare keynote messages for forums to promote the Pamoja banking value proposition.
  • Manage inquiries on Pamoja banking at the branch and in the marketplace.

4. Relationship Officer -Biashara Banking

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Relationship Manager Business, the Relationship Officer – Biashara Banking has the responsibility to manage and coordinate all the Micro businesses under him/her to ensure the bank goals and objectives are achieved. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding and Customer Management:
    • Onboard retailers and customers across various Ecosystem value chains and digital platforms (PWE, EAZZY APP, etc.).
    • Identify prospective leads and recruit new customers.
    • Conduct outreach and manage relationships for customer retention.
    • Utilize existing partnerships to expand the customer base.
  • Loan Processing and Compliance:
    • Guide customers through the loan application process, including business and home visits to verify financial information and securities.
    • Ensure timely loan approval and disbursement within SLAs.
    • Present client requests for approval and manage security perfection and disbursement.
    • Initiate recovery processes for overdue accounts.
  • Marketing and Sales:
    • Conduct marketing outreach to onboard new customers.
    • Cross-sell and upsell bank products.
    • Recruit ecosystems by leveraging established relationships.
  • Training and Policy Adherence:
    • Train branch staff on Biashara Banking lending policies, procedures, and new products.
    • Ensure compliance with credit policies and act as the custodian of bank policy in the branch.
  • Customer Service and Support:
    • Provide high-standard customer service, fast-track loan processes, and give prompt feedback on loan requests.
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the branch environment.
    • Mobilize clients for financial literacy training and guide them on maintaining proper records.
  • Portfolio and Relationship Management:
    • Maintain an up-to-date portfolio management toolkit for efficient customer follow-up.
    • Conduct post-disbursement visits and baseline all customers.
  • Deposit Mobilization and Documentation:

5. Relationship Officer – SME

Key Responsibilities 

Business Development

  • Participate in developing the annual and quarterly financial plans and budgets for the Branch.
  • Management of borrowing and non-borrowing customers in the Branch to enhance customer loyalty, mitigate against loss and enhance increased business.
  • Regularly review strategic initiatives of the Branch/segments with a view to taking appropriate action.
  • Direct the overall effort of the segments in growing business in optimum proportions to achieve set targets.
  • Develop and deepen relationships with existing and potential customers. Identify and disseminate market opportunities and information to guide business development efforts and product development.
  • Spearhead/ conduct regular business visits to Bank clients, prospects and branch/affiliates.
  • Maintain a sustainable, profitable and high-quality balance sheet.
  • Cost management –enforce cost optimization of the resources.
  • Continuously review customer value propositions for various customer segments

6. Senior iOS Engineer

Job Responsibilities

·         Strategy, Planning & Execution.

·         Design, build and maintain efficient scalable mobile app.

·         Build Reusable Code and Library for Future Use.

·         Developing features for new requirements and functionality across iOS mobile app platforms using Objective-C and Swift.

·         Maintaining and growing the mobile app platform’s API library. Includes updating API’s and creating new APIs as needed.

·         Triaging and correcting mobile app defects.

·         Reviewing and translating business requirements/user stories into development requirements in coordination with Scrum Team activities/procedures.

·         Participating in Scrum Team design review meetings to establish designs and approaches for user stories and requirements.

·         Participating in Tech Review meetings with development team members to define technical approaches for established stories/designs.

·         Troubleshooting issues reported by users to correct application and API defects/anomalies.

·         Designing, developing, and testing software to meet requirements and design specifications in accordance with development standards and procedures.

·         Participate in code reviews and training programs.

·         Maintaining automated deployment/ build procedures and mobile app distribution procedures.

7. Senior Backend Developer

Job Purpose:

The backend developer will be responsible for building scalable RESTFul APIs, the server-side application logic, integration with both internal and external systems.

Job Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

·         Strategy, Planning & Execution

·         Design, build and maintain efficient RESTFul APIs in C#

·         Build Reusable Code and Library for Future Use

·         Design and Implementation of data storage solutions

·         Work with Frontend and Mobile App developers to define RESTFul API specs

·         Work well with technical and non-technical people to deliver high value results

·         Participating in Sprint Planning and tracking work items
